Kim has debuted as an actor in 2022 for The Best Nyonya FOR KRATE IN MELAKA. NOW A FULL TIME ACTOR, SHE IS ALSO AN illustrator by profession, she has commissioned and published works that has appeared in international publications and online platforms.

Kim 于 2022 年在马六甲为 KRATE 演出的《The Best Nyonya》中首次登台亮相，正式开启她的演员生涯。如今她是一名全职演员，也是一位职业插画师，她的插画作品曾受委托出版，并登上多个国际刊物及线上平台。

LILY WEE

Lily is a typical Nyonya, married at a young age, she believes in preserving the “Family Name”. As Neo Lin’s Mother, this is the only life she knows and she tries to do what she thinks is best for her daughter.

莉莉是一位典型的娘惹，年轻时便嫁为人妇，她一心维护“家族名声”。作为诺铃的母亲，她认为唯有这样的生活方式最好，真心相信她所做的一切，都是为女儿好。

Shyre May is the Founder of Krate – A Creative Space and Cafe which focuses on the performing arts community based in Melaka. Recently trained in NYC and with 10 years of experience in the industry, she has written, produced, directed and acted in many original plays, commercials and independent films.

MADAM CHONG

Ruling the wealthy Chong Household with an iron fist. The Proud Madam Chong is currently looking for a suitable wife; only the best nyonya for her precious, only son.

Sonia is a seasoned actor with more than 7 years of acting experience in Krate’s original productions. She is also a professional copywriter in advertising, and has been involved with Krate since 2017.

Sonia 是一位经验丰富的演员，拥有超过七年在 KRATE 原创剧目中的演出经验。她同时也是一名专业广告文案撰稿人，自 2017 年以来一直积极参与 KRATE 的创作与演出活动。

A multi-talented artist who specialises in dance, Neena has been involved in the performing arts industry since 2017 and a key member of Krate since 2020.

Neena 是一位多才多艺的艺术家，专长于舞蹈，自 2017 年起活跃于表演艺术界，并自 2020 年以来成为 KRATE 的核心成员。

POLLY

Polly is Neo Lin’s best friend, she works at the market and delivers vegetables. She is hardworking, full of hope and fun, and she brings a new light and perspective to Neo Lin.

波丽是诺铃最好的朋友，在市场卖菜送货，是一位勤劳又乐观的女孩。她带着满满的希望与欢乐，也为诺铃的世界带来了新的光芒。

Sophie is a classically trained vocalist with 4 years experience in the performing arts industry and will continue her training in the UK. This is her second production with Krate and is excited to showcase her Nyonya heritage.

Sophie 是一位接受过古典声乐训练的歌手，拥有四年的表演艺术经验，并即将在英国继续深造。这是她与 Krate 合作的第二部作品，她也非常期待展示自己的娘惹文化传承。

Based in Melaka and established in 2016, Krate Creative Space is a theatre production company specializing in interactive and immersive performances that highlight cultural elements. With more than 10 plays under its belt, Krate continues to inspire and support local artists while contributing to the growth of the performing arts industry in Melaka.

克雷特创意空间（Krate Creative Space）成立于2016年，总部位于马六甲，是一家专注于互动式和沉浸式表演的剧场制作公司，致力于展现文化元素。至今已创作超过十部原创戏剧，Krate持续启发并支持本地艺术工作者，同时推动马六甲表演艺术产业的发展。

HISTORY OF THE SHOW

From the creative minds behind The Missing Diamonds at The Baba Nyonya Museum Melaka (2023) and the recent standout production The Great Gossip (2024), The Best Nyonya is the most iconic musical comedy drama written and directed by Wee Shyre May.

The Best Nyonya was first debut in 2022 in an outdoor festival in Melaka that garnered a total of 2000 attendees and since then has been performed in KL, Sold Out shows in immersive dining experience and even restaged in Melaka (2024) with a total cast and crew of 32 people and more than 600 viewers from all walks of life.

继2023年《失踪的钻石》（The Missing Diamonds，马六甲峇峇娘惹博物馆）与2024年的《远大的流言蜚语》（The Great Gossip）售罄演出之后，《最佳娘惹》由才华横溢的剧作家兼导演黄学镁精心打造，势必再创辉煌！
Krate Creative Space剧团成立于2016年，位于马六甲，专注于沉浸式互动剧场表演，并致力于展现出丰富的文化元素。至今已创作超过十部剧作，持续支持本地艺术家，推动马六甲的表演艺术发展。

GEORGETOWN MANSION

Located in buffer zone of George Town Unesco Heritage site, Georgetown Mansion is one of the many colonial mansions that stood the test of time. It is a magnificent built in 1979 that showcases the rich historical past of the local architecture and cultural scene of Penang. It is also a sister museum to the majestic Penang Peranakan Mansion.
